Considering going the single carb route on my boat and maybe a little shot of nitrous. Everything's in great shape and runs great just looking to go a different route. I'd rather sell it all as a package. Buyer gets whole setup intake to scoop.
Asking 1500$ or partial trade for a victor Jr intake for a 455. Thanks

Also does anyone have and experience running a victor on a olds? From what I can tell they work somewhat similar to a tunnel ram? Make most power at high rpm?

I had one on my built Olds... A little sluggish at low rpm, but really woke up after 2500-2800rpm.
I liked it better than the tunnel ram with dual carbs.

Better question is what I didn't have done to it... A lot easier to list.

Like I always tell people, it's not what in it that's most important, but the blueprinting of all the parts and massaging the engine together. Any bozo can put any engine together, but it takes finesse/patience and a good set of mics to do it right...

Last I heard, the engine I helped you build over the phone and texts is still running strong 😎

Who's camshafts are all you olds guys running?  I'm building a 10.25 461  with a tunnel ram and 2 660s with some home ported heads I did 15 years ago. I'm thinking about running a solid flat tappet

I've got a clay smith cam not exactly sure on the specs the cam card got lost. My olds has all forged internals and 9.5:1 and ported heads and a flat tappet.sounds pretty similar to yours.

How much room do you have between the valve cover and header?  I have M/T valve covers but can't use them because of the valve train is way too tall

Roughly 2 inches. Plenty of room. May be tighter with the twist headers. I have a stock valve train aside from adjustable push rods.

I just came across the mondello air gap manifold. What's your opinion on that compared to the victor

The mondello air gap is most likely a procomp copy of the edelbrock 7551.

That's an excellent all around manifold.
Dual plane, and it's pretty tall. Best of both worlds.
I think it will be more efficient on your set up, but you will loose the "cool" factor of your tunnel ram. Btw, your setup looks killer.
But I can assure you, your engine will RUN killer with the airgap.

Either way, I wouldn't buy Chinese procomp stuff.

The tunnel Rams cool but I'm looking for simplicity. Twice as much shit to worry about. And I'm tired of constantly polishing the damn thing haha. I love the way the victors look with a fiberglass scoop.

The reg  plate and lines from Summit. As a kit kinda thing.Rpm prolly 52/53hundard,not too high,TBD. Valve covers are ebay score, aluminum plate, dimed up nice an polished. I do most of my cruising around  the docks checking the chicks out, on the sun pads of daddies 72 foot MYaught houseboats. Or hold up in a cove some place with ZZ Top on the stereo and thank you  for your kind words
