I always wanted to do a B/RB/Hemi rail kit.
Attached are the factory blueprints. Be advised that Figure 3-18 Bellhousing Bolt Pattern is the view facing the transmission input shaft or the rear engine plate from the front (timing cover side) of the block. Unfortunately this print doesn't have the dimensions for the starter, which will mount directly to the plate.
Using a rail kit would eliminate use of a bellhousing or any type of 3-point mount system.
A simple flywheel cover can be fabricated from the attached prints or a more common flywheel cover from a BBC, such as a Lightening, as is the case with a BBF rail kit.
The front motor plate(s) should be similar to Figure 3-27 and pick up only the water pump mounting locations. Utilizing the timing cover fasteners would cause fitment issues with the harmonic damper and front main seal, there isn't enough clearance to move the cover 5/16" to 3/8". Tap the plates directly with 3/8-NPT minimum for water in/out, bottom holes are water in and top are water out.
Good luck,
Joe
