Seen the water level at BHC yesterday at 11am/noonish, and there was plenty of water, at least for my heavy azz daycruiser. water will come up a lil later at the Avi, maybe late morning, 11am-12noon or so

I got an email back from the Avi.....

The BBQ on the beach is a no-go. They cant do it because of health department issues.

BUT...they are offering putting together a BBQ dinner for us at "29 Palms"...which I think is a banquet room with water views

I'm not 100% sure. She is looking further into it. It would be $8/person and I have no idea whats included or being offered. I should have more details, but this is the basic info I have so far.

I know this is all super short notice, but sounds like fun.

Anyone have any imput or ideas or suggestions?

Ok...29 Palms is what they call the grassy area on the north side of the cove. Opposite side from the launch ramp...details are still coming together...more later.

Who can afford the casinos with gas prices as out of control as they are he in SoCal? $4.79gal for Circle K regular??? WTF...This is going to start making me sound old

but you could get 110 race fuel for less than that not too many years ago.

Now the booze on the other hand will help me calm down a little

You guys will be fine we were just there for 3 days and this video is from yesterday. We stayed at avi and the water is low but still do able and yes the jetboat tour from laughlin to london bridge is running.

Go across the bridge from the avi and fill up we were paying 3.89 for super from the smiths gas station.

The BBQ I had mentioned yesterday that the Avi was going to put together for us is canceled.

I cancelled the BBQ because it got too formal for our needs. They needed me to get a head count, pay in advance, deposits, etc. It was going to cost me over a grant to pull it off.

I called them and thanked them for their efforts trying to cater to us because they couldnt allow us to BBQ on our own on the beach.

Anyways, see you all there!
