The 2014 "October Trip" will be taking place October 10th - 12th. The spot will be Big Bend of the Colorado State Recreation Area. There is a decent launch ramp and several sandy beaches. It is located south of Laughlin, north of the Avi. Launch fee's are somewhere under $20 a day.
There will be no hotel group rate set up for this trip. The Avi is sold out but there is several hotels in Laughlin available. Last year the majority stayed at the Pioneer. They were open to us hanging out and having a few drinks in the parking lot all night. Ample boat parking and its right outside the rooms. Its not a 5 star resort, but its decent. Their rates are at about $30/night online right now for that weekend. I called to confirm that they have plenty of rooms available.
