Just talked to Mark what a trooper ,he's kind of lonley ,says folks are starting to show (trickel in) ,very happy I went up there this am  Mark and I switched "cove sides" from where he landed last nite (too shallow)  Hopefully Glen will get up there to keep him company and Me and Ro will be up mid day Tom

Working on it man, wanted to be there this afternoon but broke some stuff last night, may have it resolved, getting there one way or the other...Good call on the deeper water, it will be mucho cooler too...Seems like every time I get to go on a little weekend outing the weather flips out  (was 100* here today and I work for an air conditioning contractor...) :banghead:

Got home about 12:45 this AM. Thanks for getting this set up Tom and Skip. Thanks to Mark for saving the spot. Had a great time camping for the first time in 30+ years. Felt a little bad for Propless driving all the down to the lake to find pretty much everybody gone except for me, GT Jets and Tom and Rhonda. GT and I hung around until about 6:30pm or so taking some final boat rides and getting everything packed up. The wind never did calm down yesterday so the only thing the people that left early missed was a mini tornado/dirt devil that came down the lake and was lifting up peoples camps and turning them into messes. Kinda cool looking. We have a few pics that I will post later. Hope everybody made it home safe.

I thought I saw Propless turn onto the road to the lake as I was heading out, glad we missed the wind.  Had a great time, boat ran beautiful all weekend long, got to GPS it finally, 3 adults, 22 gallons of gas, 67.6 MPH. I'm happy with it, the previous owner had it @ 74 with a different pump and a droop & rideplate, we'll see what this winter brings  >:D

Bob, for not camping in 30+ years, you looked like a damn infomercial for Coleman, good job, did the kids have a good time? We'll do this again, except on the South Shore (Harris Creek Loop) see y'all soon.

LOL Skip. The kids had a great time! We are already planning the next camp out. We are thinking about heading over to BV in a couple weeks maybe on a Friday night and camping/boating until Sunday. Let me know if you are down for that and I will keep you posted. Now the real fun starts. Gotta go unpack, wash the boat and Tahoe. Well worth it!

Bob

P.S. Good job on that boat Skip.

I could be game, keep me informed on the date, hell we could probably get Tow Truck to join us too. Maybe by then Propless will have the Eliminator done and he could head south?

Yea that was me Skip ,  late as usual  ::) , but I didn't get lost  ;D (well not really).  Ill be glad to bring my little boat down (if its done) for the next trip .

Everyone was packing up and heading out by the time I got there but I still got to hang for a while with GT, flytime, Hondo Hall, and Tom / Rhonda, and got a ride from Tom in the V-drive cruiser (very comfy).  I'm heading out to the garage now, back to work on the project.
See you guys next time  ;D

Made it home by 9 PM no problems with the exception of a little light issue on the trailer, 5 min. fix. Thanks for the help proppy, nice to meet you, also very nice to hang out with everybody and talk boat, going to be going out more now that we sort of have our crap together, probably just me and the kids now that Mrs. GT jets is starting school tomorrow for a year and a half, but oh well, kids are getting older and pretty soon won't want to hang out with "old people".

If the weather holds out this year, we are trying to put together a short trip in October to LSAR or maybe Naci. don't know yet will advertise if we get it into action.

Again, nice seeing you all, some of you again, would definately do it again and I promise the next time my boat will squirt water instead of blend it..  Although given the water conditions am glad I brought the cruise ship, pretty windy.

I was checking out this thread and realized I probably passed some of you coming in as we were on our way out last year. We were there 'til Thursday that week. I hope you plan another group trip to San Antonio this year. We're planning on being there a couple times this summer, including the week before Labor Day, and would really like to get together with some of you if possible.

To JBP Tom; after last years cam failures, I'm am going full roller on the Olds. George at Clay Smith is handling the head mods. (He's about 5min from my house, so it kinda makes sense.) Thanks again for your time last summer when I broke at Lake BV.
