Any dates looking good for it.   Brad,I know this is probably not your biggest concern right now so I understand if this doesn't get touched for a few. Just wanting to bring it up to the top.

Mine was stiff when working it back and forth on the trailer.
Once I got it on the water and under power, it was amazing!

Hey SJ, I believe Brad was talking about the 12th. Something about some racing at the Bluewater on the 5th,
which was the other possibility.

Also I think the venue is still up in the air between the Avi and Laughlin.  Anybody have any preferences ???
I know the Avi is very convenient, but there are up sides to Laughlin as well.  :beer: :beer:
The launch ramp is not that far at Big Bend, ( side note ) I wonder if they have repaired the sign on the beach
at Big Bend, 'cause someone ran smack into it and laid it over with a certain ( cough, cough ) sparkly boat.   ;D

I know Laughlin is cheaper, but you got to pay launch fees, so it kinda evens out.  Any ideas you guys ?

Lol this works, also last year I launched out of bullhead at the end of the strip and the fee/guard shack was all closed  up. Didn't cost a dime.

Normally this would be held on Columbus day weekend, (Oct 5th-8th) but the ADBA (Arizona Drag Boat Association) is holding boat drag races that weekend at the Bluewater (first time in many many years). So I was looking into doing it on the 12th.

I need to look into what group rates I can get together. The Avi did us well in May, but if I remember correctly, they wouldnt even cut us a deal for last year's oct trip, thus why we ended up in Laughlin.

it gets real cold real quick during the month of October.  :thumbdown:

If you're talking about the launch ramp at the riverside, that's always a free launch ramp. It's free for anyone to launch, but you have to park at whatever hotel you're staying at. They just re-did the ramp beginning of the season. Made it a bit wider and lengthened the jetty to protect it from current.

No we were in Bullhead. I think it is rotary park. Normally it's a pay ramp.

Theres only tent camping down at macintyre. The night temperature falls off real quick within these next 2 months. I personally dont want to freeze my ass off in a tent.

tent camping at the cabanas, and they have a a/c outlet so you can bring a heater or a fan.
and even a drop light if you feel like wrenching. ;
