Blythe has the hotels. There is a good spot and enough space where we have southwind regatta, problem is no boating Friday. But we could do aha Quinn sand bar Friday and same spot as southwind Saturday.
Gimme that BECKY!
Problem is that Aha Quin is 30 min drive time from Blythe. Too far away.
Also, i heard that the guy who does the performance regatta was told he isn't welcome this year to Aha Quin. I'm going to assume they don't want any group events there, period.
There is the new hotel there right by the Riviera, and it looks like they have plenty of boat trailer parking at the Riviera, but are they welcoming to a large group like SCJB?
There are many facets to be looked at when doing these events. Everyone always just yells out their favorite river/lake spot, but in reality it's an awful idea to try to throw an event at their spot.
