1300 to 2000 degree paint

has anybody used 1300 to 2000 degree paint on there headers? do u think it would flake off ?

I used BBQ silver (grey) on mine, they looked OK till a day on the river, then they were dull and started to rust, did it 3 or 4 times that season. Black might not show the rust as bad. I went stainless after that :thumbup:

thanks i might just have to try the black bbq paint.do u no of anything that will help get the old carpet glue of the inside of my hull,so i can lay some new carpet down.

I have been fighting carpet glue for many hours now, finally I found 2 tools that will remove it. One is a paint/ rust stripper wheel for a grinder, other is one of those oscillating tools with a scrape blade for the heavy stuff.

  Lacquer Thinner works great for carpet glue let it sit a few minutes and it scrapes right off.

Vht makes a header paint that is ceramic...you half to cure it...that would probably be your best bet

okidoki ill try the laquer thinner and ill look for the vht ceramic paint :thumbup: :thumbup: i just dont wanna waste the money on jet coating them black cause there kinda soft by the water nipples
