krylon = very cheap way to go, prep it right, krylon clear coat, wet sand and polish, it can come out as a decent 10' paint job, i did my step fathers hood on his little truck in black using krylon, did not turn out to bad and it did not take to long to do, it has been about a month or so now and it is holding up good, i don't forsee any issues with it, this would not be my first choice for paint but it will be an inexpensive way to do it, and if you are doing white it will not show the imperfections as bad as a darker color

+1. I've used Kyrlon on alot of stuff, hols up well and lays smooth for the cost

thats not an option, its been painted over with house paint then sanded off. theres not much clear gel left...if any at all. also, the boat was capped on one side (side not pictured) so theres a lot of primer work done there.

so how do you like it? ralph told me you picked it up yesterday. hope it works out to get you back on the water soon!

looks like it is going to  need more than just paint to get on the water.

Seen it done, still don't believe it... Two quarts of any color you want Rustoleum, 400 grit wet/dry, and those little hot dog rollers and a pan. Color sand it fairly smooth, mask off the pretty parts, roll it on a nice day (not too damn hot) , let it dry for 2-3 weeks and give it a light buff (not too heavy of compound) just to get the shine to come through, Viola! you'll be outa here for fifty bucks tops and best of all your mother couldn't tell. My freind did this two years ago to a POS Tahiti (garage sale find) and it still looks killer (even though the F-er is yellow) I'm telling you BACKWOODS BABY!!! best of all it will come off with Martin Senior Smart Remover ($28 a can)

Twelve years ago I painted my 20' Spectra with Awl Grip marine LP, using a roller, in my front driveway.  The paint still looks very good today even though it has never been wet sanded, rubbed out, or even waxed.  Cost was around $120 total, used less than a quart of red and a pint of white, plus catalyst, reducer, and accelerator.

I invite you to come over and look at it since you're local.  I have enough white paint laying around the shop for you to do your boat.  You'll just have to buy some epoxy primer and roller sleeves.
