fiberglass question?

is there such a thing as spraying fiberglass? i need to add some glass to the inside of the boat hull and thought maybe i can take it somewhere that can shoot the glass in?

Maybe expand on how you "need to add fiberglass to the hull". Some low budget boats are built with a chopper gun....but you don't want to go there.

i just want to add a fresh layer of glass to the inside so i can have a even surface for carpet. when the old carpet was pulled up it left a very rough surface. plus a little more stregth??????

The rough surface it probably glue that needs to be removed anyway.

Most hulls would not bennefit from having fiberglass added.  It would just add weight and not help the strength so much.  The added weight would be noticeable in reduced top speed and possible handling problems.

Hit it with an orbital sander (better yet a D.A.) with some 60 grit and let it roll  :thumbup:

The roughness may be roving along with the formentioned glue bits... ;)
