How many different models did Rogers make in the 70's? There isn't much information that i can find for Rogers. Looking at what pictures I can find the hull looks like a Bonneville or Cyclone except the deck doesn't flare up at the dash, it is flat. I assume the flare up is called a bubble deck but not sure. Once I can figure how to post a picture I will.

Cyclone- 16'& 17'. Flat deck.  I think its called an early entry bottom
Super Cyclone- 17'10. Flat deck. Looks like a Bonneville bottom
Bonneville-  18' Bubble deck
Bonneville TR- 19' Bubble deck
Bonneville Classic- 21' mini day cruiser

Thanks for the info. I found some pictures of a couple of Super Cyclones. The hull looks like mine but seating looks different. Mine looks like the pics of the Bonnevilles. I am also in Lakewood Ca

Ok I will have to do that from home as the pics are in that computer. That one of your Dads looks like mine with that seat layout too. Im near Woodruff and Del Amo. The boat is at a friends shop in Norwalk with the motor out of it. I spun a rod bearing in it at Lake Elsinore testing it after I did a bunch or repairs and upgrades to the boat. I normally keep it in Bullhead City but bring it home for big stuff. Can't complain, was the origional motor and had never been torn down.

Now just need to figure if it is a Cyclone or Super Cyclone. All I know is that with a very tired engine and what was later found out to be a worn jet drive, we did 62 on the Colorado river using GPS. Never did clock it with the rebuilt jet, headers, recurved ignition, and Team G manifold with large scoop. Picked up about 300 rpm. 4500 is about all she would, do the engine was just too tired to do more. So whatever 300 rpm more would be. I guess somewhere between 65 and 70. These things must be scary with a fresh engine in them. I was going to sell it but as I learn more about it and now I have the motor out, I am having second thoughts.

It's a Super Cyclone, I've never seen a Cyclone built after around 72. There may be a few out there, but after the Super Cyclone came out not many Cyclone's were built.
18' Super Cyclone and 18'Bonneville share the same bottom.

Thanks. So is the only differance between a Bonneville and Super Cyclone the bubble top then? What is the differance in the hulls. Is one better or should I say better at one thing than another?

Lost 6" of cockpit with the bubble deck. Went from a 6 seater in the flat deck to a 4 seater in the bubble deck. The 19' TR came out soon after that to get the space back.

My dads boat has an early entry (i think thats what its called).


The Bonneville bottoms are the same as yours except for the TR its longer and has chines

Here's a pic of the bottom our 19 TR. It has the large chines that it shares with the 20' Bonneville Classic.
The chines are where the side of the hull meet the bottom. Different shapes on different hulls.
