I want to say remove the top chunk and try to cut it down a bit  and get it cleaned up. Then with the piece cleaned up and the boat cleaned up glass them back together. You might be able to use some "kitty hair" or chopped mat to fill in some large gaps or holes if need be. But that's just my opinion. Probably not the best way IDK.

save that piece your going to use it, rather than trying to form a new one! your going to have to feather back the piece and the hull. then glass it back in.do you have a grinder and a DA.  youll need one . Oh and a mask dont breath that s--t its not good!

Well it looks like i got a problem then...cant really crawl up inside anymore since there are stringers on the top like a house has between 1st and 2nd level to support the next level...put em in so i could walk and sunbathe on the deck...never thought i would have to go inside again...so i guess plan b is gonna be necessary...

any suggestions since i can work from inside...

i am thinking of having a stainless plate made in shape of a v (sorta) to slap over it and just cover the dang thing up...and put the rub rail back on...

please provide a little more detail on "prep" both sides...thanks...i confuse easily...

take the broken piece sand it down basically tell there is no more paint or primer on it cleanoff all the freyed parts then do the same to the boat. now fit the broken piece to the boat. this may take a few times. the better your prep work the better it will come out.
