Bassett T
« on: May 15, 2014, 07:16:46 AM »
I have a Bassett T with a panther pump and have  problems.  I have changed the Bassett T and adjusted the ball valve trying all my options.  I'm not sure if this is just  how the  panther pump works.  I get no water till 2500 rpm and moving15mph.  Bassett says when at idle in a no wake zone for extended periods rev it up from time to time to get water to the headers.  This will not work even at 4500 rpm need help please.  :banghead:

Do you have a pressure gauge anywhere?

I've done that just more water when it finally opens.  I think it doesn't build pressure like the Berk's do.

panther is a low pressure high volume pump unlike the berks... id skip the T and run a ball valve next to your seat to control your headers.

Has anyone ever ran a Bassett T with a Panther pump.  Does any body make a tee that is adjustable that would work with the Panther pump.

Are you running it dry with a garden hose? I couldn't get much through the headers on land but works fine in the water
