This is all the Info they give reguarding the wear ring:
The axial clearance between the impeller and the impeller shoulder must be 0.025” – 0.035” (check several places around the wear ring). Check again after the impeller nut has been tightened
This is exactly what I want to do. Is this .025" to .035" each side? Or total? How is this checked with the impeller in?
Or is this the front to rear clearance?
The impeller is out of round-- large dia. 7.268", small dia. 7.256, so it needs tu be turned. (avg ~7.262")
Wear ring, as measured OUT of the pump is out of round too-- Lg. Dia. 7.214", And small dia. 7.201. (avg. ~7.206")
Using averages, theres .056" clearance, or .023" r-&-l.
