no dont drill new holes, contact whoever you had install the intake and tell them what is going on. they may have moved the intake. but make sure first!

FYI, I had did have the intake cut for a shoe and ride plate , there wasn't supposed to be any setback and when I put the housing on it is hitting the bottom of the intake not the back just the bottom

I'm thinking they might have installed the intake at a different angle than it was originally.  But pics are going to be required for this thread.

Ok here are the picture as requested , I did take some measurements and everything seem the same on both side of the intake hope this helps , if you need more info let me know at this point I'm up for trying anything already missed a lot of time on the water and the Wifey is not happy with me!!!!  :

IMHO looking at your pictures, that intake is set WAAAAAYYYY too deep....

Looking at this one also makes me believe that your T/A didn't fit for beans at the beginning...

That shoe and loader are going to dig like a potato farmer... 

GS marine and they had it for almost 8 weeks after 6 weeks I finally had to go over and rattle the cage

I would re drill the holes plugging all the old ones with some Marine Tex. It may be an optical illusion but that thing looks to be 3/4" deep....

GS normally does spot on work, I have been dealing with Greg for over 20 years. It would surprise me in a major way if it is not correct.

The screw holes were never filled, the job IMHO looks a little sloppy. It looks as though your T/A was too high to start with. The bottom two holes should have flat head wood screws, everything else should be through-bolted.

Good luck, I think you need to cut the loader down, but again, could be these old eyes playing with me.

I was a little disappointed it took so long he has always provided me with great advice and he has done a lot of work on boat already , I just got hung on this one issue , I'll give him a call Monday hopefully he can provide a fix

I not having the issue with the shoe or ride plate haven't got to installing still trying to get the housing on back in the pre-existing holes the bottom of the intake is hitting the inside of the transom housing I have taken the back bolts out and that helped a little and I have been able to see where it is rubbing on the housing and it is around the corners

So hears is a update , I called this morning and was told just to drill new holes because the intake was reinstalled

Same thing happened when u did mine because the intake was in at 3 degrees and we changed it to 4. Just re drill. Check the degree of where it is installed now. Call them and ask what it was before.
