Berks are all same basic units excepting the JE, which is an insert style suction housing.

The differences are in the bowl for the others....JG is a split bowl, you can bolt on a droop between the nozzle and bowl.  JC bowl has the pin bosses cast in, can't run a droop.  The bowls are all interchangeable

That's what I have in my Rogers...  But it's a decent pump right?  As long as nobody changed the internals the stamp says 12JB-AB SS so I'm guessing I have an AB stainless impeller?

You'd be right.
Assuming it wasn't gone through and changed.

I sure hope not!  I've heard of an A or a B impeller but what's the advantage of an AB?

I sure hope not!  I've heard of an A or a B impeller but what's the advantage of an AB?

All sizes of impellers start out as the same basic casting and are cut down to achieve a different target RPM.  The outside diameter is reduced and the length and overlap of the blades are shortened.  An AB impeller is a size between an A and a B impeller.  There are also + and - sizes i.e. A- and B+.  The attached cut chart is an older drawing and I don’t believe that the dimensions are still relevant, but you get the idea.
