This is common on some droops and Berk bowls/nozzle adaptors for example particularly early generation C bowls etc it can also be dangerous from the standpoint it can "lock" your steering up simply create "steering stops" on nozzle in the areas you indicated useing 1/4 20 stainless allen heads (requires drill and tap) to limit the toatl R&L travel, the amount you reduce should not significantly affect your turning ability when done correctly Yours looks to be a Dominator droop incidentally and may actually have a slightly larger opening originally designed for thier steer nozzle and not for Place diverter call if you need help Tom
