Has anyone here had any experience with the energizer kit? Good or bad. I have a wj kit and thinking about switching it over to berkeley parts, but its pretty pricey compared to just rebuilding the jacuzzi. I'm not planing on trying to get into the 70's or anything, I have a placediverter on the jacuzzi right now. Any input is appreciated thanks

I don't have any experience with the energizer kit.  My Hondo has a stock WJ with a diverter and some mild intake work.

I'm keeping my eyes open for a good deal on a diverter for a Berk so I can try a droop using one of the adapter rings to convert from the WJ outlet bolt pattern to the Berk outlet.

I don't feel that there is enough to gain on the WJ with the energizer kit.  Now the YJ is another story.

I replaced the entire YJ Golden Eagle pump in my Charger with one with an Energizer kit and a place diverter last spring. On THAT pump, I can say it was a huge difference and well worth it. I don't see the boat much these days, my buds always have it out, but we ARE planning to bring it for the "Father's Day No Skirts" gathering in June at Big River. Mostly, because it's ugly, can't hurt it, and we've added a new droop and wedge to it so we can offer some complimentary bridge washings with a 455 Olds.............

As far as the WJ, had a few apart here recently, and in all honesty, very much resemble a Berk inside. Different Impeller codes, a B is a A, and so on, but can be made as they are  to run HARD! Crewcheif's boat is a good example! (Did you ever put that new intake on Keith??)

Unless you're splitting hairs, racing, need aftermarket parts, etc, I don't see the benefit justifying the expense, myself. I think well before I would go that expensive route, I would re-rig the boat with a Berk which would probably be the same cost or less..............

YJ Energizer and Xcelerator kits provide enormous advantages over stock performance particularly when addding power above 350HP , WJ Jacuzzis work very well in stock and slightly modified forms , One big advantage to either is when the repairs/parts  needed begin to approximate the price of the conversion kits or in the case of the WJ the only OE impeller available is aluminum (no stainless or bronze) and they (OEM impellers) now retail for $585 as well as the fact that they are produced in very limited quantities Tom

The Xcelerator kit is the new one avilable from Aggressor. Same thing, designed by the same guys, new manufacture!

I love the panther pump.. Don't get why people dis on them¿!¿ I've mostly owned berks.. And have had some bad luck with them.. And they are fun seeing how high you can make your tail.. And scaring the kids on the tube.. Lmao!!
