After seeing the pics in this thread I knew my grate was different but could not remember why. So I got under it to get a couple pics and WTF I'm finding broken parts 
What can be done?
My sugestion to you is call me, I will guide you through the mod process.
But here we go,
First you will need to try and copy the same angle as the other side that is not broke with a 1/4" thick piece of aluminum, so you can fill it back in.
Then you will need to use a mini angle grinder and remove all the paint and contimanents, for a good strong weld.
Third you will need to make some sort of jig to hold the new piece in place while welding.
Fourth you will need to get some sort of fire barrier that can be taped in place to protect the hull.
Fifth before any welding you will want to get about 40lbs of ice cubes and place them in the bilge area around the intake, again to help protect the hull while welding.
Sixth make sure you get a compitant welder and go very slow as to keep the extreme heat to a min.
This is very dangerous so proceed with extreme caution
There is two other ways to handle this as well.
You can take and make both side the same. Just copy the broke intake fin onto a piece of paper and cut it out then transfer that to the otherside. After you do that and cut it out you should smooth and sharpen all the leading edges.
You can copy the angle on the undamaged side and transfer it to the other side. Now the shorter side will load much better while turning the oposite way as the boat slightly slides sideways.
I you don't like any of those, you can always buy a new intake and install it in the boat.
