Im not sure if this has been posted before...if so, sorry but/and please redirect me to the answers...

If you guys could help clear up a couple questions please...  how many different berk pumps are out there, how are they classified and what makes them different? what kind of upgrades/modifications can a person do or have done to them that not gonna break my wallet? and what kind of accessories can be used on them( rudder, different size nozzles, etc)..

The float i have in mind is a 75-77 rogers hull
Im going to build a mild 468 good for 50-5500 all day long( im going to post another topic in the engines forum)
Im looking to build a fun boat, id like carry my family(3 total for now, 5 later down the road), pull a tuber every now and then.. basically be able to cruise around all day long at around 60+/- 10mph.

this is all a learning process for me and all the input is always greatly appreciated!! Thanks in advance!!

I've been seeing that term used on these pumps at that is not what they are.

insert pumps? as in are they the types of pumps that people speak of when building a combo from a split bowl? i hear of early and late split bowls..

hmm..now im stumped. so are you saying they actually put the intake/pump housing behind the transom nowadays? im having difficulty picturing this..lol

This is all pointless and a moot point if you are looking at a Rogers though.

Is there no way to put a droop on a c bowl and if not what's involved switching to a jg so I can .I have a place diverter now so I imagine that's gotta swap out to a different diverter it doesn't look like it bolts on a jg bowl

I was gonna mention the JR but they RARELY pop up.
The JR is Berkeleys split bowl in full "race" trim.
AQ shaft, stainless impeller, full droop, race nozzle and ram horn reverse gate.
And yes, they do work great.

I want to say there was one more split bowl pump, post JG ..... the JI.
Maybe the Berkley site or someone else can chime in on details that changed between each pump.
I'm pretty sure I've killed off the pesky brain cells that retained most of important information.

Take your diverter, bowl and hardware off. Add new bowl/gaskets after measurements taken to make sure bowl will not touch impeller...You can add the droop, mini or straight to bowl and diverter to the droop, mini or straight. If you dont want to add the droop...ect but want the bowl then you need the bowl to nozzle adapter to add the diverter. Once installed if droop..ect you might have to add a steer tube/cable extension if you cant get the steer cable to adjust to it. Same with your forward/reverse/diverter cables will need to be lengthened.  If replacing the stock C with a modified split C or G, chances are they should bolt right up without any mods.
