Does anyone know why my impeller looks like it is falling apart? It's cracking or something on the blades down by the shafts and there are little pink holes in it also.

Severe cavitation burn... Time for an overhaul and a new impeller... Completely normal.

Yup...

From slipping impellers due to wear ring clearance and potentially a disturbance in front of the intake.

Can this happen with the occasional times the boat catches air or when turning too hard and sharp and it unloads? Or is this caused due to a constant issue?

LMAO.

Anytime the impeller pumps bubbles, it causes a small amount of damage like that. Sort of an accumulative thing.
