I went with an adjustable pressure valve as well. The reason for the guage is so you can see where to set the pressure with the valve...

That's what I thought. 2Sav, are you going to be running a pressure relief valve or are you going to be running it the way they built them when they were new?
Anyone ever see a set up like this ? i assume the hose bib is for letting water into the engine from a hose?? But isnt there a better way of doing it....
I also want to install this guage so i know what my pressure will be at , or should i just get the pressure relief valve?

The water spicket/valve is there so you don't have to remove a plug when you want to hook it up to a garden hose.
The only reason for the gauge is if you are going to run a water pressure relief valve.
IMO, you have 3 valves within one foot of each other and you should make it look like...
A lot of guys that run a water pressure relief set up is because they boat in very cold waters, the pressure relief deal gives them more control on thier engines temp. A lot of other people run water pressure relief systems because they hear stories of how a jet pump puts upwards of 300 psi through an engine.
