I have a BBC and after the flywheel but before the power takeoff adaptor I have an aluminnum spacer.  It seems to keep the adaptor away from the flywheel.  Have any of you heard of this, or know where to get a new one?

 Sorry i dont have PICs, I just put the motor back in earlier today.  But I cannot find the spacer in any parts mag. or on any website.

Someone was doing some "adjusting" with the "shim" , could relate to a drive line lenghth issue or engine swap etc  We sell PTO's for just about every concievable application you could think of ,BBCs come in 4 different configurations flex plate ,flywheel etc , the crank side is "registered" in or out to facilitate the rear of the crank post some pics of what you need or cal for tech help or "coaching Tom

 I really appreciate all of the responses.  It has been a few weeks since my last question.  The problem was that whoever built the motor before was too lazy to go and buy a flexplate PTO, instead he/she took (wasted) the time to fab an aluminum spacer. But to all of you who took the time to answer, my sincerest thanks...and good luck.
