Anybody ever change the pump rope packing. I have a Berkeley 12 jg and it leaking just a little bit , advise?

You want it to drip a little. Believe the re of thumb is about one drip a minute or so

Okay that's cool but I also heard of drilling a hole and tapping the grease fitting into that packing area is that true

IMHO, that is a waste. Just keep them adjusted properly and don't run it out of water.
