rudder aluminum or plastic
« on: February 05, 2016, 01:02:28 PM »
I'm looking for a rudder for my 12jg. But I'm curious as to performance wise what's the benefit of having the aluminum over the plastic I get that the plastic one will break away an the aluminum will not as easy. but performance wise what's the difference? And does anybody have one for sale

Theres no performance gain by having a rudder.

Hi Saprano I have a brand new aluminum one if your interested. I have broken a few plastic ones. Contrary to how allot of other people's boat handle. My boat tracks allot better in the long no wake zones with a rudder.
