ray those holes are supposed to be there for drainage so they dont rust...they are called weep holes buddy...glad to meet you and glad you had fun

Ohhhhhhhhh! Ain't I the stupid one then. I guess I may have a little too  much water coming in there at idle then! GooD! They can stay. Didn't want to run baffles anyway if I can help it!
