My favorite place on Lake Mead by far...I've been going there since I was a young kid. Although Im usually there in a bass boat, the weather and water conditions are generally pretty good. It does have its days, but it is by far the calmest part of the lake at any given time, and the clearest too. Considered to be "Gin Clear" waters by us redneck fisherman, you can see the bottom nearly 60ft down. The motel isn't bad, but I enjoy sleeping on the bow of my boat anyway (the bass one), so I may not be a good judge on this.
The Cafe has the best Biscuits and Gravy around and makes the drive from So Cal well worth it. I've been trying to get RiverSled out there for years now, but with his slim 79' Hornet, and the horror stories he's heard from me about crossing the Virgin or the Lower basin with 6' swells, it's been hard to get him out there.
I would definitely say that if your boat is under 25 ft and you want to guarantee some lake time on your trip to Mead...5 days out of 7 will be good in T-Bar
