The weekend of August 21st is probably best for Tony and I. That is our 3 day weekend week.
I have stayed in the Hampton Inn in town it is around $100.00 a night. The Days Inn is $50.00 ish. The Holiday Inn is about $65.00 I think and the best bang for buck in my opinion. Remember that all of these are about 7 miles from the park so keep that in mind during the planning stages.
There is also the option of throwing Tents down. I know that is not popular with most of the Women folk but, an option none the less. Cost right around $10.00 per night.
There is room for tow in trailers/motor homes if that is an option for any of you. I think this is around $30.00 to $35.00 per night with full hook-ups and $20.00 or so without hook-ups.
We can try to reserve the one single wide they have there which Tony brought up earlier. I'm staying in that this weekend I hope so we will have more info on that on Monday.
Is the weekend of the 21st, 22nd and 23rd going to work for everyone? Like I said it's best for us but, that doesn't mean we can't do it on another weekend if we need to.

ABOUT THE RIVER ITSELF.
The Blythe area of the River is pretty nice. There are multiple beach spots right around where we camp and launch (Mcyntire Park) and a Cove (Goose Flats) that we pull in to where you are isolated from current and wind when one or both of those are an issue. We have always had a place to anchor/beach the boats and hang out even on the busiest of weekends. There are some jetskis running up and down that area not intolerable though. Probably about the same as was at Big River this past weekend.
There is never an issue with launching as far as water level goes. Obviously it is shallower at different times but, not really an issue for any of us now is it. If BKPLESH is planning to attend he will not have any problems at all. We have friends that run a wakeboard boat all day and go the same places we go with no problems. I like what I read in a post last week about water level. "if this site was called socal wakeboard boats, water level would be an issue but since it is called SOCAL JETBOATS! it's not really a problem for us!"
*EDIT* Can anyone bring a Karaoke machine? In order for Tony to put on a performance like at BR someone will have to bring one. There is not really an option as far as going to a bar after the days events. Typically everyone just stays in the park, walks around from trailer to trailer talking, drinking, and having fun.
