Ralph turned me on to a little trick on header bolts, use allen head socket bolts, no wrenches to try and fit around the bolt. Solved my issues on the last set of headers I installed. Good luck.

Funny you mention that...put normal header bolts back in...them allens pissed me off...took me longer to get the old headers off then to install new ones...used all 6 point stuff and no issues what so ever...guess ill find out when I test it

The allen head Idea crossed my mind when I put the thing together initially, but I didn't try it because some of the tubes will not allow you a straight shot into the bolt either.

Either way, they're fixed now, lol. only about 6 more that I haven't given the 'treatment' to for mis behavin'.

Used a variation on those on the intake manifold, still hadda modify a couple of them to torque the thing, but greatest invention since the inflatable doll!

Got it running, broken alternator wire killed the battery and a vacuum cap somehow fell off the carb....Towed it home for $1 worth of parts.

Hello out there, anyone and everyone.I heard the water is not coming up at big river till late.So what do you say, we go to big river first see if the water is up. if not we meet at blue water. Back at big river by 11:30 am. or just go to big river and bullshit till the water comes up.Just trying to keep everyone together.Im talking fri 8:00 to 8:30 am. Thats a lot of bullshit 8 to 11 but Im good at it.

the water hasnt been coming up till later. but this isnt a big deal for the people on this board. now if this was socalwakeboardboats.com then we would worry about it. i will let everyone in on a little hint if you dont already know. with the lower river, your best piece of equipment is a pair of polarized sunglasses. aim for the green spots in the water and stay away from the brown. we can leave my park when the water is still 2 feet down and go all the way up to the damn.
oh and i will be there probably on wendesday

I'm new here...Ralph told me about the gathering this weekend, I'm gonna try and make it out there. I'll be at upriver a at the RV park...spot 118 if anyone else staying there wants to come by for a beer.

Anyone got some time Wed. afternoon to go out to elsinore and make sure my junk floats? Just got it put together...I haven't had it on the water yet. I'd prefer a boat ride back to shore instead of swimming..
