Selling this dizzy and coil. This stuff came on  my boat. Last year I installed new electronics in the dizzy and I also replaced the cap & rotor. I have some bushings and springs for the advance. I had my boat out 17 times last summer with zero issues. Recently switched to HEI so I have no need. I don't know if this is a "marine" version or not. The distributor has some rust in it and in no way, shape or form does it effect the performance. $175.00 + shipping from 91506 + 3% paypal. Money order is ok.

I picked up some used Bassett OT headers and a T valve 2 months ago and the headers are currently at the chrome shop. Going tomorrow to pick up some lines and fittings. I'm in the process of trying to sketch out on paper how to plumb these things and I am going  I've searched old threads on this forum and others and every thread has different answers.  My boat currently does not have a tstat and I am not sure if I need to run one. Also, I'm having trouble figuring out if I need one or two water dumps. What temp is the water coming out of the water dump(s)? Do I need some kind of pressure regulator that is set at a certain pressure inorder to avoid blowing head gaskets? How many valves do I need before the headers inorder to regulate water volume? Some say 1 (near the jet) and some say 2 (1 near the jet and another by the drivers seat) Any help would be greatly appreciated!

What city do you live in and are you happy there? I live and work in Burbank. Lived here all my life and I'm sick of it. My wife and I feel like Los Angeles no longer has anything good to offer and to be honest some parts of Los Angeles are like a 3rd world country. I feel like it's time for a change in my life and moving to a different city is at the top of my list of priorities. I was thinkin of maybe Valencia/Canyon Country but I here that it's getting way overcrowded out there. Simi Valley looks like it might be a better option. I like Orange County, but the commute to and from my work in Burbank would kill me. I really like Redlands alot. Nice and guiet little city that is very family friendly. We have a kid on the way and it seems like a real good place to raise a family. However, in the summer it's very hot and it's one hell of a drive to be doing 6 days a week. Any recommendations?

I replaced my fuel tank carpeting 4 months ago and the carpet on the passenger side tank has some spots that are melted. I posted the problem with a picture on another forum, and some members are saying that the reflection of the sun off my billet battery box is what's melting the carpet. Is this even possible? Some spots look almost as if someone took a soldering iron to the carpet. I don't have any fuel leaks that I am aware of. I was disconnecting the battery as I was thinking that I maybe had some sort of electrical short in the boat.

Need to replace my bunks like yesterday and I know nothing about this subject. One friend says that I need pressure treated lumber and another friend says no to the pressure treated but he can't remember the reason why. Also, I looked at 2x4's but they look to be thicker than what I currently have. Is it possible that my trailer bunks are 1x4's?

I've been looking at used over the transom headers for my BBC and I'm a little confused. The two brands I'm interested in are Rewarder and Bassett and I've seen the word term "twisty style" used on several occasions. Some of the headers I've seen are listed as twisty style and others are not. Honestly, they all look the same. Is there a difference between twisty and non-twisty or are they all the same?

I'll be out there for some more testing with the Rogers. Need to see if the carb is dialed in and if the water leaks are fixed. Temp won't be ideal as it will be like 75 degrees. My friend will be there also in his Hallett. His boat is brown metal flake. My boat is red/white/blue. Say hi if you see us. We'll get there at about 9 am

After 4 months of working on the Rogers, I can finally say that she's all done. Planing on talking her out for the first time next Friday. I had set a deadline of 04/31/2011 and it looks like I made it. All I need to do is wash the exterior and clean up the interior. Planing on hitting the carpet with an extractor on Sunday. Theses passed 4 months have been bitter sweet. I bought this boat not knowing what I was in for. Lots of cuts and bruises. Lots of sleepless nights. She almost brought me to tears on a few occasions. I've learned so much about jet boats and thanks to everyone who answered all of my technical questions. I posted up some pics of the fuel switching valve I had installed and the new trailer wheels. I'll post picture of her in water next weekend.

I noticed that there is a small amounf of oil leaking from the rear of my Berk jet. I recall that when I had it out and while I was painting it, some oil would drip out of the bowl. But now the jet is in the boat and completeley assembled. Is this normal?

Had alot of rain over the weekend. Actually, it's still raining now. This is a very nice mid-80's Advantage that resides just up the street from my work.

After letting it sit for a while, I finally got around to working on my Rogers this weekend. I was able to work on her for 2 days straight. I installed a new fuel pump and fuel supply line up to the carburetor. I relocated the water seperator assembly and ran a new braided line from there to the pump. I installed a new in-line fuel filter that can be serviced.  I  Finally got around to installing a new Optima blue battery and I repaired the Dana Marine battery box. Started to clay, buff and wax the gel.  Changed the engine oil and attempted to perform a tune-up when I ran into a major problem once I removed the distributor cap. It appears that the prior owner didn't do such a great job of covering the boat in the rain. The distributor has so much rust in it, that I truly am amazed that the boat runs as good as it does. This week, if I have a chance, I'll remove and teardown the distributor and try to clean it up. I was toying with the idea of running all braided water lines. Instead, I ordered all new blue silicone heater hose from Summit Racing. If that stuff is good enough for police cars, then it's good enough for my Boat.
