I do like the hull, I guess I will keep going. at least I know what to look for next time I buy a boat. I paid 1600 for it with a 455 olds and berkly jet. when I brought it home the plan was  to build seats and paint. that changed reall quick.

Found out , dont ever make plans on doing something when the word boat is involved... It just dont work out the way you want it too........

Like skip said , your half way there thats the nasty part cleanup, Yuk!!!.... Ive done one or two myself and will probably be doing another here shortly..

$1600 for a running boat is a good deal , now just put it back together and it will even be a better deal ;)

you say you like the boat right ???  Ok then......... just do it ;D

Just a borrowed boat! Needed a lake day and everyone being there made it a great day! I dropped in at Callville bay and did the 26 miles to Temple Bar Marina across the lake, and with the conditions it was awesome!

We left Temple Bar at 6pm  and hauled ass back to Callville (Boat has lights) and the water was so flat it was insane. Got back just as it got really dark.

sounds like you guys had a blast , good to hear...... i will be there next time ;)

I have considered walking out on my shift. I work by myself for a good 5 hours...so i wonder how long it would take them to notice im gone.....furthermore...when interviewing for another company, if i had to explain why i was terminated at my previous place of employment, do you think they would understand why i walked off the job and agree they would do the same?

Even though they might say they don't blame you for walking off they would consider you as a "non team player"

The whole "we care about our employee's" is thrown out the window when they start to lose money.. and since you are on salary they can work you any way they want to......

casinos have their own set of rules, Where i work they tried to give me salary several times but i refused it.. i have a feeling its gonna be brought up again  , last six months ive been working 7 days a week although i did have a weeks vacation in there...

Cut backs are affecting everyone , my crew is gone and im solo and everyday i walk in there i want to just walk out.. But i have to look at the big picture and remember there is things i want to do and family i need to take care of..

Remember no matter where you work , there is always BULLSHIT

Stay strong Brad things will work out , they always do ;)

Please do yourself a favor and get a circuit breaker on the wire from the solenoid to the dash at the engine end, the fuse/circuit breaker protects the wire, not the electronics....

GT

yes i will get one monday, thanks for the heads up ;)

Boat Showcase / Re: Caribbean

Nope, not really, the question is still confusing the crap out of this simple Simon, but....The power to the dash (assuming the red wire) and the charging wire (assuming the white wire  :screwy: ) and the battery cable and the starter all go to one...Is there a fuse or circuit breaker on the lead going to the dash?  (if not there should be...) The other side of the solenoid goes to the start signal wire on the starter...Viola!

Looks clean BTW...

I assume that is a two wire starter....Are you sure of that solenoid? is the Orange wire going to the + side of the coil? how are the terminals labeled on that solenoid?  It should read (S) and (I) the way you have it wired...sometimes the two smaller ones will have (S) and (G) for ground, this would be a Jeep style solenoid which won't work in that configuration....

GT

Cool thanks thats what i needed to confirm..

yes they are fused at the dash , and the solenoid is from Omars  Saguaro i do believe . and orange is going to the +

just wanted to make sure before i have them make my "special" cable :D

Boat Showcase / Re: Caribbean

Ok lets try this again ;D

Notice the solenoid, my question is do the battery cable and starter cable both mount to the left terminal ???  Thats all i need to know the wiring diagrahm says they do......... But!!!!

Ok this bitch is wired , except battery cables and starter wire.....

Well when i hooked power to it i could not get the Bilge pump to shut off , thought to my self......... Self you phuked up :banghead:

Turns out the bilge push/pull switch is fubar and they installed a hidden switch , needless to say that problem has been cured..

« on: March 14, 2009, 01:25:04 PM »
Ok now im getting cables made for this set up on monday and just want to double check.. i dont want cables made and they end up being to short/long :sly:

So on this diagrahm it shows the wire to power the boat, alt, Batt cable, and starter cable all on one terminal.... Is this correct ?

I had an old tbird and the battery cable and starter cables were one on each side of the soleniod , maybe im over thinking this again..

Boat is completely wired except for battery and starter cables ;D

And no , you wont find no purple wire on my boat ;)

 ::)    ;D

So do all the wires hook to one side of the terminal ?

I don't know what you mean, all what wires? The mains should be all by themselves due to the wire size, they would have to be fused if there are smaller wires coming off the mains, I am positive I misundertood the ?

GT

Im just wondering cause if all cables go on one terminal , its gonna be a tight fit.... But i like it tight :D

Good to hear Glenn ;)

They only charge $4.75  foot + connectors and if i can buy a cable premade of the rack i will but the one im having made is only about 8"s long from solenoid to starter....

So do all the wires hook to one side of the terminal ?
