Good news, Bad news, Good news, Bad news

Well, the Good news is Ian has decided to not be a loser like his pops and go get some education and make something of himself so he'll be headed off to college.... Congrats son! I'm f'n proud of you. 

Bad news is that he has to sell his boat cuz he can't support it while going to college. 

Good news is that we're gonna keep it in the family as Jan and I have bought it from him

Bad news is I just paid a ton of money to buy a hull with my engine and a bunch of my parts in it..........    

And good news is that I have a new project.......

Holy crap Jrork        Talk about yer "Freeboard Challenged"!    Nice looking boat, real cool lines but dang I wouldn't want to have it out anywhere in the summertime around here.

The pictures dont do this boat justice. It's all original and looks like they just pulled away from the dealership in 1965. 

As far as how it handles, kinda like driving on ice when we were kids.  Pitch in the corner and let it sliiiiiiide around with the throttle on.  Tons of fun and nothing like I've ever experiance in a boat.   Definately not a rough water boat though...

I didnt see the survey but agree with everyone that this is a fantastic place and there's always going to be groups that are closer.  You can call that cliques or whatever, it's a fact of life.  Deal with it. 

I would like to see more threads as well.  Still, a great place and I've always felt welcome here.

I'm kicking around the idea of taking the long drive south and watching this race.  Looks like it could be a must see event from the list of entries that are being mentioned.  A couple of that NW gang are heading south with boats as well.

Hah, it's getting across the border is the tough thing.  Besides, my crewchief got in trouble with his mom cuz he fell on the garage floor and chipped a tooth.  Poor little guy.   

Hi Glenn!!! you're a tin can boat guy, maybe you will know the answer...Grants Pass race this year?? i'd like to go see the festivities if it happens, promised Jeff id come watch him race... gonna have to fulfill that promise even if he isnt here to race anymore.

I can see this boat with a badass high compression BBC and a single Dom or a 500+" blower motor in it's future.

Too cool of a boat to just let it go.   What about a 427" with mechanical FI?  Now how sick would that be?  Ian has more talent that I could hope and dream of ever having...all he needs is some money......Jan, where's the check book!

Whoops, we never update this.  We on a whim swapped a Carter Mechanical that I had in the shop and took it out and it worked perfectly. Only thing we did was space that one front plate on that side out about an inch. The pillow blocks lined up perfectly with an existing hole and we were good to go. No electric pump, no regulator, just a good old KISS system and it worked flawlessly.  Now we need to find a dbl pumper Holley for this thing and he should be golden. 

One thing that I gotta admit, this boat is so much cooler than mine. The lines are killer, it's got some much more room and I love how it rides in the water. Our boat you get wet and the motor gets douched all the time.
This Sanger you and the motor stay dry. I really like that.

Hmmmm, wonder what my motor would be like in the Sanger....
