I have to say my favorite thing about this boat besides driving it of course is the way it sits and looks in the water...=)

I have a friend who just bought a 80's something Bahner and he is itching to start in with the mods.  Major engine mods in the future I'm sure, but for now it an "as delivered" 454/Berk.   I don't know which model pump yet as I haven't seen it.  He has been reading everything he can find about inducers, impeller mods, ride plates, RoostrBoosters etc.   Given a budget of say $1000 what would you smart guys advise him to do first?  I tried to steer him away from intake stuffers and ride plates until he has driven the boat a few times to see how it works now.  He is pretty good with tools so mods like an intake for the motor or a droop is no problem.

OK guys bring it on.       Oh and spare me the "put a Ford in it" talk cuz he is one of the true believers in the superiority of all things Chebby.  I didn't say he was bright, just good with tools.

Yeah it does. But after clolor sanding all the new gell on the Sanger a few weeks ago, I will take paint any day.

we will never know what REALLY happened... all we know is what obama and everyone in the government want us to know.. people might say its not becuase obama wants to get re elected but give me a break.. he took credit for the whole thing... and lately obama has been having a small fued with trumph about his birth certificate.. i guess no one is talking about that anymore, or about the huge debt that our country is in..

I'm just having a hard time wrapping my head around the "roofing Nails" thing. I get it, the logic is VERY clear, and to be perfectly honest, I cannot come up with a reason why not??? Pure genius!

does any1 know how it would work to put vinyl over paint, before clear coat? after? how durable would it be? any info would be appreciated .... thanx

Over clear yes, under clear no the vinyl will eventually lift and cause the clear to lift also

Stripimg is deffinately an art. I used to do it in high school. Are you planning on just pulling straight lines or Dutch style striping? The hardest part of  pulling straight lines is thickness of the line, and that is controlled by the pressure and speed in which you pull the brush. for doing the Dutch style jobs is a whole nother ball game doing scrolls is a  pain in the ass ( at least for me) you have to spin the brush as you pull around the curve, tons of prcatice... Your best bet is to get an old car fender and maybe a 00 Mac striping brush (most common), some One Shot and get to  practicing, you should be able to pull a straight line pretty quickly.

Heres my Silverado again now with new wheels/tires and rear leveling shakles. slamming is on hold so I can finish the boat for the summer. Here it is last Saturday when I brought the Sanger home with new gel pre color sand and buff.
