Hmmm.  I have a 1977 Hallett Mini Cruiser. Have I by chance seen your 77 Hallett at one of the outings?  If not, you need to get your ass in gear.  How about some pics.  I don't post pics of my sled but others have been known to.  I look forward to meeting up and seeing your boat.  Have a safe 4th.

I've got a 77' Hallett pushed along the water by a stock 460. I've got a Holley 750 on it and she is tuned perfect here (Torrance,CA) and runs great at the river. Was wondering how much issue I'd have with my jetting in Big Bear

Buddy has a condo up there with a private dock soooo why not right??

Welcome to SCJB. I'm new to this myself. Just picked up my 77' Hallett two months ago. Just got out from underneath it marine texing some imperfections in the gel coat.

As funny as it sounds... I've done this before on an offload car. Now it wasn't exposed to marine elements but it will work I'm sure since its a marine product.

Full the holes with marine Tex and put in the hardware again. Make sure you clamp it so that it is tight to your bracketing. Worked awesome for me and is still holding on tight on my Sandrail.

Your other option is going up a size with the hardware if you really don't want to put new holes. Filling the holes with any kind of wood glue or other more common wood filler won't hold up in a constantly wet environment.

I'm sure you'll get plenty of other suggestions... one will likely be better than mine. But it worked for me and it's an option.

A midget trailer (as in the race car, not a little person). But it was originally a boat trailer. I can double check but I'm next to positive they are water seal hubs.

Never heard that one before. But I have heard of using old tire sidewall? not sure how you get a nice cut on that but I haven't gotten to that yet. I will probably just make my own out of either what you said or see how a 4.5 inch hole saw works on a old tire.

How did the PVC end caps hold up against the heat?
