Buy the way I was just thinking, how straight is the bottom? Take about a 6-8 foot straight edge and check the keel and each strake.  My guess is that over the years the old Rasberry has a bit of droop in her kaboose. With that big old prow hanging out in the front it would be well worth the check and less expsnsive than the life insurance required to keep your family thinking kindly of you after your passing.  I'm sure that Jeff Bennett would love to strighten her up.  I'll help too if the beers are cold

Thanks for the advice and I will take it. The entire boat is going to get an overhaul and no shortcuts are going to be taken.

I will keep your offer in mind. Beers are always on ice for anyone who helps out with the boat. Hotrod and marcsrollin are going to be the first to attest to it. Anyone from the Raspberry crew back in the day is more then welcome to swing by, shoot the shit, and help out or just watch us youngins put our blood, sweat and tears into it as you guys did in your day.

No it was not an oh shit pad. We were all so buff and full of our selves that it was a back rest for the co-pilot so he could turn around and look back to the skier, tube rider or the competition while going 80+ and wavr by-by.

I took all of the interior out this morning before i dragged it to the Costa Mesa DMV.....when i got back home and put the interior back in....i set it back up as would have been....there is a few missing pieces including that pad. I am sure i can mock something up to what i see in the picture.

The main pieces are still there and thats whats important. I can use the old wood as templates for when I go to cut the new stuff.

BTW, somehow     I still have the doghouse for your boat.

Brad , this thing was a gorgeous piece of craftsmanship. I'm in absolute awe . All I know is that I'm first on the buyers list if the RTR doesnt come to fruition. This has got to happen .
