I reset the dizzy so rotor is firing on #1, also re-double checked wiring order.

DJ, I am sure you already know this, Olds dist rotate COUNTER CLOCKWISE when you look down on it...firing order still 1 8 4 3 6 5 7 2...don't ask me how I found out...

Fired this big bitch tonight!   All I could think about at work today...on the way home stopped and picked up a new 6A.  I figured spark was kinda weak, more orangy rather than whitish blue.  Wired the box in and hit the switch and she fired right up on the first try!    Thanks for getting the gears turning guys, mucho appreciated!

Haha!  Yeah, found that out last night bumping the starter with the cap off.  Was a pretty good learning experience with the Olds.

CRAZY SAUCE !! 

So I ran her on the hose today just to try and get some tuning done.  Trying to set the water pressure regulator, question is...What is a good way to tune water pressure without a water pressure gauge hooked up?  How much water should I be watching to come out of the exhaust (thru-transom)?  Should it be sputtering water or should I just have a slight mist to a steam coming outta her?  Also, I was noticing that water was spraying out of those little holes on the bottom of the header...I'm assuming too much water.  I turned down the regulator until water just stopped coming out of those holes and the excess relief valve (set to 15lbs) just stopped flowing.  Right now I've got it where its just a slight mist to steam coming out the pipes?  Too little water running through the system?  I'll hook up a pressure gauge tomorrow.

Thru-transom Rewarders....water injected I'm assuming?  Sorry Frank, I'm confused...what would be the difference?  I know its a dumb question.  My plumbing does feed the headers from the cooling system though.  Here's the diagram that I followed...

maybe I am confused...are there little holes on the bottom of each header pipe like this?

the little holes are right before those water injection ones, closer to the flange.  i think they are called weep holes?  but yeah, I looked up my headers and yes, they are water injected.  man, so much different than a car with all this water stuff...you'd think this was a boat or something
