Still no luck on the insurance. Might be able to get it if I do the Tres Martin Performance school, but its almost $3000.

Wow, those classes are really intended for large sport or offshore boats... not sure how relatable it is to these style boats. Never the less, Tres is an icon on that industry.

You run your own boat in the 3-4 hour on water course. There is a 8 hour in classroom course as well. They have classes for 65 and under, up to 100, 100-125, and over 140 mph. Higher cost for each of course

Had to take this baby back to when it was born in 1975 with some shag. I think it looks a lot better. Added lights and made the oil pressure gauge work with a new one and a new sender. Oil is changed and she’s good to go.

The lights look great. I like how bright it lights up the inside without having the light blinding back at you.
I can’t say I’m on board with the shag. But good job on the installation.
It must feel good to be ready for the season. Most of us are wrenching on stuff as we’re trying to pack to go to the river.

Thanks guys!!! Hit 75 mph today. About 5800 rpm. I’m so glad I can finally enjoy it after a lot of work. Can’t wait for some warmer temps and maybe some titties tannin on the bow haha.

Im surprised you only hit 75 with 740hp have you done any pump work we’re you in it all the way? I have the same hull thinking of putting some power in it as well

I was close to 6 grand. 5800 rpm to be a bit more exact. A aggressor bronze impeller. Loader grate. Hardened shaft. Billet u joints. Pump is NOT set back. Perhaps I should look into a different impeller or jg Split bowl with droop and ride Plate etc. the steering wheel was flexing up top, my hat almost blew off! She’s rippin. I thought it’d have more but it’s a blast regardless. I need a engine that’ll rev to like 18 grand. Maybe two sportbike engines haha. I just can’t keep the r’s down when I’m cruisin. I just want more!

Thank you! The stringers I just got 22 oz carpet from boat carpet.com and used the aerosol spray on adhesive. It works great. Just let it tack up and then put it down. The shag is actually not secured at all. I did this for the purpose of possible needing to clean it or dry it out or if I just didn’t like it after I was finished. The seats hold the side pieces down in the back, and the front bow access hole cover, diverter control, and the rear interior piece all sort of squeeze the carpet down. It’s heavier carpet too. But I had it over 70 mph and it didn’t move. It wasn’t flappin in the breeze like a tarp or something. I’m happy how it turned out and you can’t see the transitions or cuts or anything. No foam either. It’s like 2 1/2 inch shag. Feels like you’re walkin on a cloud my boy!

Grinding is done. Gained 5-6 degrees. I won’t use them all but there’s still strength left in the cast arms. I’ll repaint and make nice again
