So am I right about the flexplate, the only reason for it to exist is to give the starter something to engage to? The farmall crank is sounding like a better Idea already if that is true. Been there done that so many times I have no problem pull starting an engine that could wrap me around it in a heartbeat. Just kidding, really. what  is everyones thought on front (bow) mounted batteries and tanks? Seems I have a lot of dead space up there, and since Tom has pretty much talked me into going Place Divertor on this money pit, ..................

lol well, yeah, I guess so. Started out buying headers from the guy, next thing you know he's pulling out double pumpers, cables, steering gear, all sorts of stuff. Seems he had some clown build up the 460 in it only to have it blow up on it's maiden voyage, so he said f-it, and was trying to part it out. Before the conversation was over he said well why don't you just buy the whole thing?  Then he showed it to me and we hashed out a price. :screwy:

I didn't take any pics of it yet, still not at my house. Buy you guys gotta swear not to laugh at the paint job, it's neat! And it's not yellow, but has similar meaning to us. lol I'll see if the guy can e-mail pics of the thing.

Dunno who that is, all I know is I needed new exhaust for mine, as the aforementioned snail was cracked, and really wanted OT headers anyway, got a smoking deal off E-bay from this guy for pratically brand new Bassetts, complete with lines and Aeroquip hoses, etc.  Then the conversing started. He is from Cali, and the boat's gonna be delivered sometime week after next.

You guys ever hear of the Moo books for children? lol

The Saguaro's far from a dead deal, though, it's at a friends house, he's a 'glass pro and cheap (Works for supplies and beer). Once it's done there a buddy of HIS is going to paint it for the cost of the paint, then ship the jet to Tom. THEN  I gotta get it back and start remembering how it all came apart. As for now, I have to finish it's engine, (Yeah, I got one for it), speaking of which, anyone got a Marine 460 oil pan and pickup they can spare?, and get the trailer gone over, wired correctly and painted. It should be ready by early summer, I hope. The engine for it is wild, far wilder than I originally wanted, but that's how these things grow.

OMFG!!!! NOW I get it, 2sav, tooo f***ing funny.

Actually the Saguaro is progressing nicely, it's at a friends house, a 'glass pro, works cheap (Beer and supplies), then it's going to a buddy of HIS that's going to paint it for the cost of supplies, then I gotta in the meantime finish up this engine I got for it, BTW, anyone got a 460 marine pan and pickup they want to part with? don't feel like spending $500 for a shiney Milodon when all it does is hold all this dirty, filthy black crap. Still have to ship the jet to Tom, then I figure by march I gotta figure out how it all came apart. Then the interior, hoping I can hit up Lucky Stiff for a start on that tho.
