i wouldve loved a bravo, but i also have a huge road in front of me.  this will get me on the water and i can baby it for a while.  then once the season is over ill swoop like an eagle on a bravo setup once the prices drop.

yeah i used interlux bilgekote.  it flowed well and coverage was great with just brushing over a lightly sanded fresh epoxy.

i paid $150 for the hull.  I have about $1000 in materials and parts so far (including carpet) and another $1500 in the drive itself.   Figure $2k for upholstery work.  I'll have a boat for under $5k.  Which is TOTALY reasonable... and it will be all new for the most part.  Some people pay $5k for worn out rotten floor boats.  Its not rocket science work either anyone can cut some plywood and fiberglass work is like painting that gets rock hard.  ANYONE CAN DO THIS!

Like the attitude...   Great job so far.  Like the foam core for mock up, great idea beats cardboard hands down.

putting my wiring harness into my mesh loom.

laying things out

final placement and the start of wiring everything up.  everything fused, everything relayed.  when done it'll all be zip tied up and clean.

tested my wiring panel with a 12v battery from my electric drill.  worked like a charm on my first shot. time to trim it down, and slap it into the boat.

got a relay circuit for ignition, fuel pump, bilge pump, blower, lights.  then provisions for trim up/down (trim pump has its own relays) and starter relay.  then signal wires for tach, water temp, and oil pressure.  fuel senders will go directly to the gauges.  voltage will run off the gauge wiring, etc.  cant think of anything im missing, but i can just add more relays and move the negatives to their own bar.

seats and bases almost done.  just gotta cut the seat cushion for the bench and then ill coat em in resin.

picked up all stainless hardware to mount em to the floor.

one more section of floor in, one last section to go.

hoping some parts show up this week... getting the gauges would be nice so i could start on wiring those.  tomorrow i think ill start on making the hatch.  debating on doing it with fleece since it'll be curved... not sure yet.

look what showed up today!  yay now I have something to keep me busy.

(gauges came with 2 sets, if someone wants a set of gaffrig gauges ill be selling the 2nd set, minus the speedo.  so tach, water temp, oil press, volts, trim, all you need is a fuel gauge and they're about $40)

and a 8 ft wide, 30 ft long roll of carpet.

more stuff showed up!  another rule 500 bilge pump (so I'll have dual 500's more than plenty to save me), gaskets for the outdrive.  now i can cut the hole for the transom and mount up the gimbal housing.  HUGE progress will be made this week/weekend.

i was lookin for a vdrive cruiser but they're far and few, the ones that are for sale that are rigged projects still get buttloads of money for em.   so yeah i kinda fell into this.  at $150 it wasnt too shabby of a deal.
