honestly im not sure. there is little to none for room inbetween the exhaust manifold and the power steering ram. theres no 4" for a pipe thats for sure. even if i did make elbows, etc to run it down and under the ram, i dont think it would fit. i could possibly put a little notch in it to clear the ram, but that seems kinda hokey to me.

Yeah I wasnt sure if it was the angle of the picture but it didn't look like there was room for any tubing that didnt have a crazy turn. have you thought about going to logs? Or turning your current set upside down!!

i did think about it. i also thought about chopping out the angle section of my riser and just going straight piped out the back above the water line. it'll be loud as hell though and there will be an exhaust tip to stub your leg and feet on right at the step. also it'll make my hatch a little wonky as well since ill need the additional space for the pipe.

its something ill have to play around with. i def dont want to switch to logs just to get out on the water because it involves putting a giant hole in my new transom that i might not even want...

picked some doo da's... put in the switches and ill toss the bow light on tomorrow morning. went to finish up mounting the gauges but it appears with the dash being 3/4" plus the trim rings that the brackets to hold them in, dont reach the studs. OF COURSE they dont reach. that would be easy. hah. now i gotta cut em down. grr.

went to cut the hole for the shifter/throttle. ill finish trimming up the hole so its nice and tight. but its a little too late to be grinding and cutting away on the hull. but with the placement of the seat, the steering wheel and the throttle will be a perfect reach. im excited.

fuel pump rod and fuel pump is in (haha i was trying to put it in the wrong hole until i looked it up and saw that u have to remove the little plug and it goes upwards against the camshaft. heh. then holding it in while putting in the pump was fun. read some hints and used a little piece of wire to hold it while i quickly smacked the fuel pump in the hole...

finished the shifter hole... now im gonna trim the edges and run a bead of white silicone around it to seal it up. then ill tap threads into the side of it to hold it in place.

2 new group 24 marine batteries. ive actually had great results with these in my last boat so i decided to go with em again in this one.

workin on side panels... built little cubby holes into em that go 36" back to store a bunch of junk. some fun curves in there for the side of the boat, the V in the sides, and the way the hull gets narrower as it goes back. eff me that was a lot of measure twice, cut 15 times.

decided to carpet them instead of white vinyl... it'll cut down on all the white inside since I cant convince myself to put a stripe, as id hate a yellow stripe in my upholstery.

2 gauge wire for the batteries, 8 gauge wire for the alternator, lugs, speakers for the side panels, some more wire loom to make things purty...

im gettin sleepy...

batteries mounted, cables cut hooked up to perrko 1 & 2, common to starter, alternator, and relay panel.

right now everythings loose, ill zip tie and clean it up all proper once everything is ran. i still need some wiring for the trim pump, rear light, etc.

im going to go over the power steering ram with my exhaust. ill just have the little "droop" chopped out of it and then get the straight part welded back together straight. SHOULD clear the power steering ram...

good choice on carpeting the sides. The white vinyl with nothing to break it up would have looked off. Looks great. You going to be done in time to make Fathers day big river trip?

Found the pump and the cooler, the hoses are not there. You will need the high pressure house and some 3/8" hydraulic hose.

The bracket bolts to a 454 head (L) and it has provisions for the alternator (Motorola, Delco Remy, Prestolite).

the switches and such were from west marine. i wanted to make sure they werent cheap automotive switches that rust, etc.

the small wire i got from ebay, 50ft of each color, 10x colors. I think it was like $37. The rest of the misc connectors and battery cable and such I got from a local electronics store.

just some misc stuff done. flywheel, coupler, etc installed and the motor was aligned to the transom assembly. glad i bought the tool...

gotta order some misc hardware for the shift plate

dash wiring is done, STILL waiting for my fuel level gauges. WTF?!?!

once i get the gauges ill tighten up teh zip ties and it'll be nice and tidy.
