B1 racing for all your pump, loader and machine work needs. Chris is in Santa Ana and does great work..... So does joe 👋👋👋👋👋👋

So I went and talked with Chris... Crap I really didn't think it was going to cost that much! Plus he added the option of a stuffer...

I'd really like to just get this porpoising problem fixed and be able to enjoy the boat, so it may be another summer I have to put up with some stupid Micky mouse fixes.

Quality work cost money. But you won't be disappointed with his work. We have had Chris do 3 pumps, 3, loaders, bottom work, set 1 intake, and make tons of shims and shoes. Never once has he left us hanging and he will always explain what's going on to you.

So I wanted to replace the leaking fuel fill I have, and was thinking I would just be able to pull out the old hose add a gasket and install a new hose. That is not looking like the case. It looks like I will have to remove (unrit) the existing fills and then reinstall them. Is there another way to get this done?

I just did this last year. It cost me about $85 total. Brand new, exact replacement, factory original fuel fills are only $33 bucks each. New 2" hose is $5, and I replaced the stainless hose clamps $8. Look at your fuel fill rubber seals. I'd bet they need replacement too. If you are removing the fuel fills, might as well have piece of mind and install new for the next 30 years of use.

You don't have to re-rivet them. You can thru- bolt with stainless fasteners. Mine is a 1977 also. That is how it came from the factory.

Thank you, process is done.

Logs are out for milling. Boat is in pieces getting a thorough inspection and cleaning, fixing all the little stuff.
