F me two steps forward and 5 steps back so i tried to pull distributor and it wouldnt budge tried bumping it gently prying it and nothing so in anger gave it a good tug and whole shaft stays in and top of distributor comes out. so we try vise grips and nothing so my people say lets put on two vise grips and use engine hoist and pull it out noooooooooo  :screwy: so after thinking (ya i know it hurt) i say lets pull plugs and rock motor back and forth a bit and ill try and lift it out and that worked thank u lil baby jesus. lucky the teeth were not hurt. brad tried and help me by showing me where to get a new cheap hei thanks man but the shaft and gear on it were seperate and did not have any way to lock together so im just gonna bite the bullet and B.O.A.T and get a kick ass one. good side more wiring done added a bow n stern light tomorrow wiring should be done just have to order hei and wait :( here are some pics guys

ok so today went well stopped at west marine and picked up 2 herse n cole pull switches(20$ EACH GOOD LORD THATS ALOT OF $) one for lights(10amp inline fuse) n one for fuel pump(5amp inline fuse) and matching ignition switchmounted and wired those finished rewire on whole boat(cuz of nikka rigging). i do have a question though when key is on my fuel gages peg down not rise i wired as follows from center of sender to gage and outside bolt to tank ground then to boat ground senders look original is that right???? anyone have pics of their old or original senders on tank???? Also do i need to fuse battery hot to ignition or starter hot??? put in a new 750gph automatic bilge pump straight to battery 5amp fuse and cleaned and hung wiring loom. heres pics ;D

are the tanks grounded?  are the senders the same ohm rating as your gauges?

my battery to ignition sw has a fuse.... i fuse everything.  in a boat stuff bounces around and if it wears through or gets cut, you have a short and short = fire. not good.

i also have a switch on my dash to manually turn on the bilge pump.  it takes a LOT of water back there to actually kick on the floater switch.  the pump usually comes with a diagram in the instructions to wire it this way as well.

X2 on the manual switch for the bilge, and I have a capacitance based sending unit in my fuel tank instead of a float. You have to match it with the correct gauge.
