The more I look at the interior, the more it's bugging me too. It needs new wood on the passenger seat and new vinyl all around, so I'm in a quandary.
Replace the interior with the old style seating so it's "new" again, or upgrade with 2 benches to update it?
Two buckets and call it a day.

Thought of that too, but wanted something a bit more "river" so we can putt around with a couple friends and have someplace for the cooler.

I like the two glass buckets and a glass back seat. Save you some weight and still haul a couple buddy's with you

If it has BENCH seats, she'll never know. Pretty sure she can figure out just 2 fiberglass buckets though.

Well in that case, I want my backseat nice and comfy with lots of legroom.

I have the next 2 weeks off, so it's time to knock out a couple projects. Boat-wise, I'll be replacing all the braided stainless but the oil lines with stainless hardline. I'll also be getting off my ass to finish the '31. blowing apart all the suspension pieces for powdercoat, and do the finish welding & grinding on the frame to prep for paint.

I Had a question have you ever started the motor yet? Just because it turns over and everything looks clean does not mean much sometime. Just asking your putting all this money to make it look good and you don't even no if it runs. Just thinking out lood

You're right, there could be an issue, but all the work I'm doing is so I CAN start it (well, except for the water lines and cables). Carbs needed to be rebuilt, the fuel lines had to be re-done and a regulator added, so rather than cobble it together just to fire it and possibly CREATE an issue, I spent some time and a couple bucks doing it right the first time. I'm only in this $3-400 over the purchase price, so if there is an issue, it's not the end of the world.

Got curious yesterday and pulled a header. There's carbon in the exhaust ports, so I'm relieved to at least know the engine was run rather than being an unfired rebuild. Was the engine good when parked? We'll soon see......

Hell, that thought was in my head when I was negotiating the price!
I'm looking forward to running this in the Spring. Don't know that I'll keep it long term as the wife isn't a fan of this one, but the first ride will determine that.

Prob a little late, but you can run the 6109 carbs in line instead of sideways so there's less of a linkage headache

The TR top was modified to run the 6109's sideways. The linkage has all new stainless rod ends now so the pedal is smoooth.

I am sure everything will be fine. I was going to get the boat to. It was kind of a hassle to look at.  The guy which was showing it it was not even his boat. It was at a storage and he only wanted to meet certain times. ETC ETC Good luck with it.

You must be the one he said definitely wanted it "if I didn't come through". It was a PIA jumping through hoops with him and until I got the pink from him, was never sure it was a done deal.
