finally going to trg tomorrow to get the floor done and more work to the bottom,and prep for paint

well i tried my best with this thing,its back for sale ill replace it with a new one

its there now its just to much work for what im looking to do so ill get a new one i guess

I was told if you want to carpet everything and have a mild lake boat its fine it still will need work to the floor I was looking to flow coat the whole floor with a super high gloss they said it for what I want to do im better to start off new

I never heard of such a explanation unless these guy's have no clue about flow coating an interior !!! Don't give up, get another opinion !!! B&K Boat Repair can do it Eliminator can direct you to someone too.  It's too clean a boat to just give up on it. All a flow coat is is spraying in a coat of resin with a surface agent in it so it will harden then buffing it out.  You need to sand the interior completely prior in order to get good adhesion.  That's probably why they are balking at it. Too much work.  A bit of sweat equity on your part should really get the price down.  The rotten economy should help too, even good shops are finding work hard to come by and will be lowering prices.

again I dont know much about this stuff so im telling you what ive been told thier is 2 layers or parquet floor that is satuarated and delamaniting which caused it to spread to parts of the stringers I think todd @ trg knows what hes talking about he comes very highly recommended he knows what im going for as far as a finished product and said I would be much happier with a new hull and that he would love to take my money but why spend so much on a 1984 for what im going to spend on the floor and paint im well over what it would cost to get a brand new 2009 also the amount I already have into this it may be time to call it quits at this rate ill have 60k into 

thats what i was getting at....it isnt just the flow coat, it is the parquet floors....i got the same issue in my liberty...someone dropped something on it, punctured it, and it got water in there....now its delaminating. only fix is to remove it and relay new balsa....and from whatching ralphs liberty thread, you cant just replace the stringers or the floor in a liberty....you have to do it both at the same time because the way it was glassed in.

and i wasnt second guessing todds work either....i have heard many great things about his work and knowledge of boats. i was just trying to get you to say what specifically it was that changed your mind to sell it for a new one.

Didn't realize you had delamination issues in the balsa floor. Or that you have so much already tied up into it. I would still call B&K anyway just as a second opinion.

b&k is in bellflower ca, thats who did the stringers in my liberty

if you can buy a brand new Daytona hull for under 10K, I'd say do it.
