That dash is DOPE!  Sorry, late comer to this topic and a little lazy to go back through the pages...but what is that?  Stainless?  Aluminum?  Oh...and I've been looking for one of those tach holder things for a minute...where the hell do you get one of those?

The dash is aluminum, I had to replace the wood behind the dash (it was cut to be a center steer boat), so, I needed to cover up the body work and didn't want to try to match the paint.  ;)

The tach housing came from Tom at Jet Boat Performance ( http://www.jetboatperformance.com/index.php?p=main ). There still available new (as well as smaller ones for the other gauges) and not to expensive.  ;D

I need to give a HUGE thanks Mark (sanger pete) !!

You see, the other day I was tightining down the carbs and heard an verry bad sound, a loud pop.  I broke the F...ing baseplate on my older carb  :banghead: :banghead:   .   I was telling him (Mark) about what I did Sunday and he said "come on over I have a big box of parts carbs, we can find something that should work".  I got over there and he had a complete carb sitting on the bench waiting for me  :o :o .  I just finished swaping the baseplates and the carb is good as new now  ;D ;D

Thank You Mark !!!

I just finished mounting the carbs and made the linkage.

Funny thing is, I was looking around for what needs to be done next and,  guess what ,   I think I'm DONE !!!  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

I'm going to drag it out of the garage when I get home from work tonight, take it to the gas station, and then try to fire this bitch up !!!   >:D

Watch out 2sav !! The Mighty BBF is almost ready to kick some Cheby azz !!  >:D

Sorry guys I cant do video.   :(

Tony,(oops, I mean HOLLYWOOD  ;D )  I don't care what anybody says this thing never had a fin  :screwy:.  Trust me, if there ever was one there I would of found signs of it while sanding the floor.  The red one that sold on PB a while back didn't have a fin either.

SnoC653, Nice to see you back here.  I was thinking to set the rideplate at 2deg up and the outer plates a couple deg down to start, and go from there.  :-\  It should be a safe place to start, I think.

Here's the proof, It made it out of the garage tonight  ;D ;D !!!  And yea, I still need to take over to Ironmans shop to fix the fenders.  ::)  But, it holds fuel.  ;D

I came home, put it back in the garage, closed the door and turned on the fuel pump, no fuel.  :sly:  The stupid pump wouldn't prime.  I blew into one of the tanks until the pump got fuel and then it started to work, turned it on and off a few times and it worked fine after that. I might need to move the pump, we'll see  :-\ .  I have few small fuel dribbles to fix around the carbs and the fuel pressure wont adjust below 10psi.  I'm going to swipe the regulator out of the Daytona and try that one.

But, THE BEAST RUNS  !!!!!  It coughed one minor ball of fire out of a carb then fired right up  ;D ;D  And I have to say this,  FU## single carb tunnel rams !!!!  Even untuned this thing sounds sooooooo much better than before, and the throttle response is 1000% better. Looks like I'm going to have to wait till Sunday to do the carb tunning. Its still to dark when I get home from work. And I need to get it outside so I can run some water through it, not to mention this thing is realy f###### loud in a closed garage.   ;D

Proppy , set your plates at 0*.
You want the boat to think it's longer than it really is so it'll get on plane really easy.
I think the plates will be fighting each other if they are too far off from each other.
The plates on my hallett were up 1* or so and it came out of the hole really nice and level.

Otherwise Badass !
