How do you go about finding the angles?
Digital level on the intake, and then where else do you measure for the motor?
I think i also read where you want a little angle in the drive shaft so the crank and pump shaft are not perfectly aligned? Is that right?
I did that and got "0" results. I know it's been discussed before.
First I make sure it's lined up with my jig.
Yes I use a digital angle finder. Well when I did it on each boat I zeroed out my angle finder on the keel. Put it on the jet intake, found that angle. Then dropped the motor in with the angle finder on top of the intake. Make your adjustments till you get how much angle you want in your drive line. Having a rail kit makes this much more easy.
My tunnel dragster intake went in at 5.2 degrees and the motor is close to 6
The brown boat is at 4.1 and the motor is at 4.6. Plenty of angle in there.
