Well it was the starter. One of the bolts that hold the motor itself to the mount came out. So all in all a good day

Put arrester in scoop with stud or bolt. When you tighten down the bolt/nut it will hold down the scoop

my way is to take some allthread and cut it to length.  thread it into the carb tight.  then just set the scoop and an air filter inside (keeps the dust out) on the thread and use a wing nut to tighten it up by hand.

its up to you pointing it forward/backward.  mines waaaaay louder facing forward and you'll get a ticket if its not a USCG approved spark arrestor inside.

So im getting ready to pull the motor and clean it up and repaint it. Just can't figure a color. Don't really want to paint it black again but can't decide what color would go with the green on the boat, what do you guys think?

The brightest Orange you can find!  :o

J/K. I think black would look the best because of the black interior.

But since you don't want to do black, what about a silver color to match the stripe on the hull?

Yah but the boats green with black interior. Im leaning to grabber green but still got time to think.

Gonna flip the hull and check out the bottom and practice my color matching skills on the bottom repairs before I try on the bow.

Trying to decide on a green but if not im goin silver. The left is leaf green, middle is grabber green and the right is a metallic green from duplicolor.

X3.

But if I had to vote for a green, I would go with the leaf green on the left.

Nah just couldn't find a green I liked.  Only downside to this color is that its so bright it makes all the polished stuff look worse than it does. So now I need to find a polisher
