so....with the help of marcsrollin....i did a 14 hour shift on the liberty today...

Heres the plates ready to be hacked up into a rail kit....



we started on the dash filling in the holes to drill them out for smaller gauges...







mark whippin up a nice batch of magic poop (check out the green stripe in it!)



He loved it so much, he begged to spread it all over my dash.

and here it sits.....waiting to be painted tomorrow. I went over the whole thing tonight with 180 grit.





while we waited for the resin on the dash to cure....i got about 1/3 of the boxes/bulkheads glassed back in underneith the bow....no pics of that progress....just resin stuck all over the hair on my arms.

You're gonna love that Universal Clear.  Stuff sprays on like butter and color sands and buffs even better.  Congrats

whats wrong with the electric sander? we used it to get the big chunks off then sanded the fine stuff by hand w/ a block.

Moon gauges are a 10 in the cool factor.

well, we started on paint tonight.....

we got about 1-1/2 coats on and the guy up stairs started complaining cuz he could smell the paint.

so we stopped and aired out the garage the best we could...

anyone got any ideas where to go now?

Was the bottom half painted or the top half? lol.

Best bet is to wet sand it again with 600 grit, and reshoot the whole boat at once again when you're neighbor permits. I know this sounds like money, but alot of body shops will rent out their spray booth for around $100, because even if you totally inclose you're garage overspray will still get everywhere and give it a weird texature look.

What color is it? Is it metallic? Also depending on the clear, when the nieghbors gone you might be able to spray it without the clear looking too bad Before wet sand and buff.

If the prep is completely done before taking it to a booth(which I'm sure it is since you were painting) then 3 hours shouldn't be a problem. I would think flipping the boat would take the most time, and setting it on the wet paint is even worse.

120-150 for only 3 hours is pretty steep, we used to rent ours for only 100 bucks for a day. Maybe shop around a little bit at the small hole in the wall body shops

Take the plate off of Kyles trailer and get to it! And just rig up some lights really fast , I saw all those lights on the shelf in the garage!

just shoot me the pink and i'll go to AAA and get it registered
