Just ordered all the gaskets and O-Rings from JBP to put the pump back together. Dont need it leaking!

Still need to order:

Steering Rack, Throttle Cable and F/R cable
Guages
Wiring
Fuel Flips and Hose (unless someone knows where to get the gaskets for them)
Steering Wheel
Primer and Paint
and 100 other things!

Thanks John, the sanding part really sucks but I know the end result will be well worth it!

Any specific angles you want for comparison?

There's no drop keel on Jeremy's boat, but he might wanna consider the same V-drive cav plate setup and pedal your son has on his! LOL  That boat is flat and narrow, with that engine, gonna be a handful! And FUNNNN! Weeeeee!

Did I mention that sanding sucks?

As far a where the rub rail was, there is only 2 or 3 spots that need to be re-filled and sanded, Yeah! A little more sanding around the cockpit to remove the ol' paint. Once thats done the whole top half and sides will be sanded with 220 and be ready for primer and paint.

Now the tough part, found a hairline crack about a foot long (probably just a crack in the gel) in one of the strakes(sp) near the front and there are some spots where it looks like it tagged the trailer while loading/unloading and took a few spots of gel off, nothing major but after all the work that goings into this, it should damn well be perfect. So gonna need to flip her over and make it perfect. Should be able to fix the areas that need fixing and touch up the gel without spraying the whole bottom, otherwise....

Going to pick up the material for the seat frames this week and get that ready to send out to upholstery.

Floor however has some soft spots in it and I am trying to decide if I want to rip all that out or wait a couple months, run it for the rest of the season (Late October) and do the floor in the winter.

Yup, but I sure would like to compare his with one that didnt have the drop to see how much and get a better understanding of what a stock one looked like and how this one differed to try to understand it a bit better....

John, I will take some pictures tomorrow after I get a new memory card for the camera. Took some today and now the card wont do anything.

You've been patient in your boat buy and build, why rush it now? Take the time and do it right while it's all apart, trust me it'll be a lot easier if you do it now.

I say take it out and make sure your happy with it before you put a ton of time and money into it!

I agree with Marc. Having seen the boat and walked the floor myself, it isn't bad at all, really. Run the thing.

On the other hand, theres not a very big floor in it, sooo either way wouldn't be a big deal. Time consuming, that's for sure.

I walked on it a few times and at no time was I worried about it and I am 200+ there are just a few spots that have turned black maybe 4, 3" circles where the interior was attached.

Ya its not very big, I cant imagine it would take more then a few hours to remove it maybe 3' x 4'.

Would you guys put the foam back in?

So good news, Got a transom plug and filled the transom with water...No leaks! So I dont have to take the intake out to reseal it 

Question, The gasket that seals between the intake and the pump is on there damn good. Broke quite a few razor blades and have only gotten 25% of it off.

Any ideas on making it easier to remove? Have already ordered a new one along with some other ones from JBP.

OC if ya have an air compressor and a small angled die grinder, you can use the 3M sanding discs.

That did the trick!

The top side is almost completly done with 180(got rid of the sanding marks the 80 & 120 left really nice), then onto the 220. Boats getting moved to a dolly tomorrow in order to sand down the sides with 220 and repair a few things on the bottom near the front. Also going to redo the bunks and carpets with new stainless hardware.

Was suggested to me to take the whells and fenders off to get to the sides but the fenders are welded to the trailer.
