Well after Ralph got on my ass about being a lazy ass . I decided to go in the garage and do something . I decided to grab one of my pumps and get it ready to install. The pump is clearanced and ready to rock .It's a Berk JG , SS A .

First thing was to push the shaft out so I could get to the bearing . Homeboy didnt "pack my bearing" so it came out and as I looked for grease , There was none (of course)



Next I decided to put a little anti-seize on the wear ring for the initial start up (in water of coures) He cleaned up the impellor a little since the bearing in the bowl took a shit and at very low RPM you could hear the impellor wobble around  Which is why it got torn apart.





I did not pull the sleeve off the shaft cuz I have no means of putting back on straight (which is why the shaft didnt come all the way out ) and at this point I dont want to hammer on anything . I've tried it before and the slightest angle will dig that sleeve into the shaft  .





Not bad I though for my third free pump . 

I am not a proffesional ! This is by no means meant to be taken as instructions on how to work on your pump. There are plenty of proffessionals out there who are willing to give great and proffessional advise !

Before you know it , I should have a complete legal disclaimer typed up .
So as to not vear (sp?) too far off the subject . The pump was reassembled after I packed the bearing with grease , slid it all back together . Put the snap ring back on it and it is ready for the bowl to be installed .

As soon as I get a small air angle grinder and take it to all the leading and trailing edges of the bowl it to should be ready to go back on . I dont have any plans to go anywhere next weekend so I basically will be tearing apart the Hallett and putting that pump where it rightfully goes and installing this one into the Hallett and hopefully in two weeks a parker trip will be in order for "Test and Tune"

i agree...words cant describe what youre trying to describe.....we need some pics of what not to do. 

I'll try but I don't know where to start.    I guess with the trailer wiring and work my way back.  I did and will continue to take lots of pictures.  Somethings will just have to be described since I do think I took pics of the batter box set up.  I did jury rig a mount for that and one for the side mounted fuel tank since I figure I'll do that up correctly when I take everything down to do the hull, top to bottom.
